these files tell sfm hey this is a material you need and they need to be named to the EXACT name of the blender material. what for you ask? Vmt files are files for the vtf that you made. and name it after the material the model has(note: you can rename the model's material if you want also know that it won't allow foreign language, but you should have had them translated.) do this for all materials until done. press Ctrl-I to import the image and the press Ctrl-Shift-S or click save as, find the material folder for you model. the reason is if you don't then you won't get the texture right. Once that is done open VTFedit and look at each material CAREFULLY. to do so find the material and if another one uses the same Picture move it with the arrows until it is under the first material of the same image and then press the minus button on the one you moved. SFM only allows 32 materials in all, but if you used fix model then you should have had them merged a little bit, but if there was a few more parts to one material, then you will have to manually do that. hit the sphere icon below the window of you model you will then see all the materials used in the model. Now that you have your model fixed you will want to click the mesh. This translates any Japanese bones or mesh it won't affect the name of you already english mesh. before we do that click the button that says All like in the image. wait a few seconds and your model should be fixed and ready to go,but before you export lets do the materials first so you can relax while it will export.

go to fix model and click the wrench uncheck merge mesh and click Ok then hit the fix model button.(the one in red) *note sometimes you have to rename the bones to fix the model. To do this click the button that says materials this will separate them by the material.(to get even more separated hit loose on the material mesh you choose after that(the blue square). Now that you have the model make sure you find which pieces of the model you want as bodygroups.
