There are 3 seperate (but related) bugs that are being worked on, this one, the "mega latency" and another USB issue. It is an issue within Core Audio, and it's not happening to everyone therefor it's not high on Apples priority list, but NI are actually trying here. So I've finally had an official reply to this issue, and NI have acknowledged that there are problems within Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan and that they are working with Apple to solve them. Other than that it's probably time to step up and use my RME Fireface UC out live with either Mac or PC.Īnyhow, I'm now just dribbling the same **** again. Who would have thought this would be a viable option, lol) so that I can run the newest Traktor, but looking at that I'm stuck with 32bit Traktor when using Pioneer's DJM mixers.

I'll be getting a Surface Pro 4 soon for work so I might also jump sideways (Mac to PC.

I have installed EC on an external Thunderbolt SSD so I could test out an S5 and it worked quite well with no issues, I am yet to try it with any other sound card that I've had the dropouts happen with though.
Serato dj 1.8 beta update#
Honestly, I don't think we're going to see a solution for Mavericks and Yosemite as Apple clearly are not going to update those operating systems, so our only hope is with El Capitan. We have had one response where Support put it back on Apple and it's something they're "working through", but that was quite some time ago and we still have had no official response here on the forum (yes, I know it's a user forum but other companies seem to be able to respond on their user forums). I have had drop outs with DJM mixers, Xone Mixers and NI sound cards.

Also note that this is not just happening with NI sound cards. although it would be nice to use some of the newer controllers I have access to.Ĭlick to expand.NI support have been no help at all with this one, and if you look through the thread there are many of us with open tickets and no resolution. On the weekend just gone I was playing to around 1500 people and so I'm glad that I now have a stable system.
Serato dj 1.8 beta drivers#
and if I was in the right position then I'd probably want to go all out and get the Rane MP2015, I'm a big fan of the simplicity of a single USB lead to the mixer as your sound card.Īll of that being said, since I have rolled back to OS X 10.8.5 and Traktor Scratch Pro 2.6.8 I have not had a single dropout, and I am using either my TA6 or if installed in the club their DJM850/DJM900NXS so I know that it's not the drivers or hardware. The only sound card that I've not had drop out at all is the RME FireFace 802 that I was able to borrow for a few weeks - not a single issue in any of my gigs and sounded amazing compared to everything else - but I'm not in a position to drop a couple of thousand right now, and finding space for a 2RU rack mount case and setting up an 8-way multicore isn't the easiest thing to in some of the tight booths around town.

Next is the Xone DB2 but that was with beta drivers that they still haven't gotten right (they're still battling the USB3 thing), and I have had mostly single dropouts on TA6, TA10 and DJM850. The worst night I had was 3 dropouts and it was on a DJM900NXS.
